Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi Faces Postponement Buzz Ahead of April 2027 Release

Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli, has become the centre of attention with fresh rumours about a possible postponement. The film, which is currently scheduled to hit theatres on April 7, 2027, has been generating considerable excitement due to the collaboration between the superstar and the acclaimed director, known for his grand cinematic vision.

Recent reports suggest that the makers are contemplating a new release date as the film’s extensive post-production work is reportedly taking longer than initially planned. This speculation has gained traction on social media, with fans expressing both concern and anticipation as they await official word from the team. The buzz has only intensified as discussions point to the shifting release plans of other major projects like Fauzi and Spirit, which could also be influencing the decision-making process for Varanasi.

Despite the mounting speculation, the production team has not issued any official confirmation or denial regarding the postponement. This silence has left fans uncertain, especially since Rajamouli’s previous films have also seen delays before release. Industry watchers note that such rumours tend to surface whenever a Rajamouli project nears completion, reflecting the high expectations and scrutiny his films attract.

Until an official announcement is made, the April 7, 2027 release date for Varanasi remains unchanged, keeping audiences on edge for further updates.
