Mamitha Baiju in Talks for Key Role in Prasanth Varma's Jai Hanuman

Mamitha Baiju is reportedly in advanced discussions to join Prasanth Varma's ambitious Telugu film, Jai Hanuman. The sequel to HanuMan, which has Rishab Shetty stepping into the role of Lord Hanuman, is already in production and is being mounted on a grand scale by Mythri Movie Makers. According to reports, Mamitha has given her initial approval for a significant role, with final talks currently underway. However, the production house has not yet made an official announcement regarding her casting.

Jai Hanuman had its traditional launch ceremony in Hampi earlier this year, signaling the start of a project that aims to build on the success of its predecessor. Rishab Shetty replaces Teja Sajja, who played the lead in HanuMan, while Wamiqa Gabbi has also been confirmed for a prominent part in the film. The inclusion of Mamitha Baiju, who gained wider recognition after her performance in the Malayalam hit Premalu, marks a notable step as she expands her presence in Telugu cinema. She has recently worked on Tamil and Telugu projects such as Dude, Jana Nayagan, and Vishwanath & Sons, and is also involved in Irandu Vaanam and another multilingual film.

A role in Jai Hanuman could serve as a pivotal moment in Mamitha's career, especially as she transitions from Malayalam to broader South Indian cinema. As per reports, "the actress has given her nod and the final discussions are going on." The industry now awaits an official confirmation from the makers, which could solidify Mamitha Baiju's entry into one of Telugu cinema's most anticipated mythological projects.
