Director Maruthi Announces New Film After Raja Saab Setback

Director Maruthi, known for his varied track record in Telugu cinema, is preparing to start work on his next film following the disappointing outcome of his previous project, Raja Saab. The Prabhas-starrer, which was expected to be a major milestone in Maruthi's career, failed to meet expectations and drew criticism for its writing. This setback prompted Maruthi to take a brief hiatus and focus on developing new scripts.

After approaching several young actors without securing commitments, Maruthi has decided to return to his roots by casting debutants in his upcoming film. He is currently searching for fresh talent to play the lead roles, with the intention of bringing new energy to the project. The script for the film has been completed, and pre-production activities are underway.

Maruthi plans to commence shooting in November, with a streamlined schedule designed to wrap up production efficiently. The director is targeting a summer 2027 release for the film, aiming to capitalize on the festive season's box office potential. According to reports, Maruthi is determined to bounce back and restore his reputation with this project, focusing on his strengths and leveraging his experience in the industry.

While the cast and production house details are yet to be finalized, the director's decision to work with newcomers has generated curiosity within the Telugu film community. The industry will be watching closely as Maruthi embarks on this new chapter, hoping for a successful turnaround after the challenges faced with Raja Saab.
