Mohan Babu Calls The Paradise His Most Intense Role in 50 Years

Mohan Babu, a stalwart of Telugu cinema, has described his role in the newly released film The Paradise as the deadliest of his five-decade career. The film, which stars Nani and is directed by Srikanth Odela, premiered in cinemas recently and has quickly become a topic of discussion among fans and industry insiders.

At a media interaction held in Hyderabad, Mohan Babu shared insights about his experience working on The Paradise. He praised producer Sudhakar for his unwavering support, stating, “He never compromised on the budget. He is a wonderful human being who placed complete confidence in the director. More such producers are needed in the industry.”

Reflecting on his collaboration with director Srikanth Odela, Mohan Babu noted that he rarely keeps in touch with contemporary filmmakers but was impressed by Srikanth’s clear and compelling narration. “In my 50 years of experience, I haven’t done a deadly role like this. He used to give me inputs, and I took the most retakes in my career for this film,” the actor revealed. He went on to call Srikanth Odela an exceptional talent, predicting, “Srikanth Odela is going to become the No. 1 director in Indian cinema.”

Mohan Babu also spoke highly of Nani’s dedication to the project, especially highlighting the difficulty of Nani’s character’s unique look. “Nani is a phenomenal actor excels in all aspects. I wish him all the best,” he said.

Earlier this year, Mohan Babu was reported to have been selective with his film choices, turning down several offers. Now, his involvement in The Paradise marks a significant moment in his career, as he takes on a role that pushed his boundaries like never before.
