The latest release Jetlee, backed by Mythri Movie Distributors LLP, has landed in controversy after being barred from screening in multiplexes across Telangana. This move comes amid an ongoing dispute over revenue sharing and weekly rentals for single-screen theaters, a conflict that has spilled over into the multiplex segment much to the dismay of industry insiders.

Kethireddy Sasidhar, speaking for Mythri Movie Distributors, addressed the issue with strong words, highlighting that multiplex screenings should not be used as leverage in negotiations related to single-screen revenue terms. With Jetlee's release now caught in the crossfire, Sasidhar noted that linking unrelated business segments to push an agreement "sets a very wrong example for the film industry".

Mythri Movie Distributors emphasized their readiness to resolve the single-screen disagreements, stressing that such talks should not disrupt established multiplex arrangements. The distribution house made a formal appeal for Jetlee to be allowed to screen in multiplexes without delay, stating their commitment to transparent and fair business dealings.

With the ongoing deadlock, all eyes are now on the next steps from both the distributors and theater owners. Fans of Jetlee and industry watchers alike await a swift resolution that could restore normalcy to screenings in Telangana.
