Known for his emotionally resonant roles, Chaitanya continues to impress audiences and critics alike with his cinematic choices.

In Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Allu Arvind and Bunny Vasu, Naga Chaitanya took on the transformative role of fisherman Thandel Raju. Sai Pallavi starred opposite him, adding depth to the film’s heartfelt narrative. The film’s portrayal of Andhra fishermen from Srikakulam connected strongly with viewers, and Chaitanya’s performance earned widespread appreciation. The actor had recently secured the Best Actor title at the Telangana Government’s Gaddar Awards as well.

During his acceptance speech, Chaitanya reflected on the personal journey the role offered: “Every film, every character gives and takes something from you, and Thandel is that film for me. The character Thandel Raju has taught me so much. Being able to bring the stories of the Andhra fishermen from Srikakulam to life has been a memorable journey for me. They have given me memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I would like to thank my director Chandoo Mondeti, producer Allu Arvind Garu, Bunny Vasu Garu, Sai Pallavi, DSP and the entire team. Without you, I wouldn’t be standing here.”
