Nagarjuna in Talks for Key Role in Suriya and H. Vinoth's Next Action Film

Akkineni Nagarjuna is reportedly being considered for a significant role in Suriya's upcoming film, currently known as Suriya49, directed by H. Vinoth. The project, which is in its pre-production phase, has sparked interest as sources indicate that the makers have approached Nagarjuna for an important character. While there is no official confirmation yet, discussions are said to be ongoing.

Nagarjuna, who played the lead antagonist in Rajinikanth’s Coolie last year, is also preparing for his milestone 100th film, King 100, which is scheduled for release on December 24, 2026. His consistent presence in major projects has kept him in the spotlight, and his potential collaboration with Suriya adds to the buzz around Suriya49.

Suriya, meanwhile, continues his strong run in the industry. Earlier this year, he was noted for the success of Karuppu and is gearing up for the release of his 47th film, directed by Jithu Madhavan, which is set for Diwali. He is also working with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel on another project, expected to release before H. Vinoth's film begins production next year.

Suriya49 is being produced by Zhagaram Studios, the banner owned by Suriya and Jyotika. Wamiqa Gabbi, known for her work in DC, is reportedly being considered for the female lead, though casting details remain unconfirmed. The film is planned as an action entertainer, which has generated anticipation among fans on social media, especially with the possibility of Nagarjuna joining the cast.
