Nani and Nithiin Join Forces for Alias Rukmini

Nani, known for backing unconventional projects through his Unanimous Productions banner, has unveiled his next film, Alias Rukmini, featuring Nithiin in the lead. After the recent film Court, Nani continues his streak of supporting distinctive stories, this time with Deepthi Ganta producing and Murali Kanth, of Dhandora fame, directing and writing the film.

The first glimpse, released today, introduces viewers to a compelling premise: Nithiin plays Krishna, a man whose wife, Rukmini, is credited as the author of popular and edgy books like “Garam Gopal,” “Ameku Athanante Ishtam,” and “Vratham Venkanna.” However, the teaser hints that Krishna himself may be the real writer, using his wife’s name as a pseudonym. The video closes with the intriguing question of why Krishna chooses to hide behind Rukmini’s identity, setting up a mystery that has caught the attention of Telugu cinema fans.

Nani’s voiceover and narrative style add an extra layer of curiosity to the teaser, while Nithiin’s fresh look in the writer’s role has been noted as a departure from his usual screen persona. The background score by Vijai Bulganin is highlighted for its emotional resonance, further enhancing the film’s appeal.

Production for Alias Rukmini is slated to commence soon, with the creative team promising a wholesome entertainer rooted in a novel concept.
