Nani’s The Paradise Eyes Pan-India Impact After Dasara Success

Natural Star Nani’s upcoming film, The Paradise, has become the focal point of Tollywood discussions as the actor attempts to build on the momentum of his blockbuster Dasara. With the industry closely watching, Nani is determined to achieve pan-India recognition, positioning The Paradise as a crucial follow-up in his evolving career.

Nani, who has established a reputation for consistent box office performers like Saripodhaa Sanivaaram (2024) and HIT 3 (2025), is known for his ability to deliver multiple films a year. However, the extended production of The Paradise has disrupted his usual pace, forcing him to focus exclusively on this ambitious project. The film reunites him with director Srikanth Odela, who previously helmed Dasara, and is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas. The story is set against the backdrop of Secunderabad and promises to showcase Nani in a new, intense avatar, with Kayadu Lohar as the female lead and a strong supporting cast including Mohan Babu, Sampoornesh Babu, and Raghav Juyal.

Despite a steady record at the box office, Nani’s previous pan-India attempts, such as Dasara and Hi Nanna, saw limited traction outside Telugu states. This time, the team is pulling out all stops: The Paradise is planned for a record-scale release in Hindi and other languages, marking a first for Nani. The promotional campaign has been particularly aggressive, with Anirudh Ravichander’s energetic track “Aaya Sher” gaining popularity nationwide. Anticipation is high in the Telugu states, with fans and trade circles closely following every update, especially after Mythri Distributions acquired the Nizam theatrical rights for a record ₹37 crore—a new benchmark for Nani’s career. Industry insiders believe this deal reflects strong distributor confidence in the film’s potential.

However, the journey to release has not been smooth. The Paradise has faced significant production delays, with the shoot stretching over a year and the budget ballooning due to extended schedules. These setbacks have had a ripple effect on Nani’s career, causing him to step away from two other promising projects—one with director Shouryuv and another with TJ Gnanavel, who subsequently moved forward with different scripts and actors. Nani himself reportedly told collaborators he is “occupied for the next two years,” underscoring the scale and demands of The Paradise.

The delays have also led to mounting pressure from stakeholders. According to sources, Netflix secured the digital rights for a substantial sum, but has now set strict deadlines, with reports suggesting any further postponements could impact the deal’s value. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri addressed speculation around the film’s business, dismissing rumors of a ₹110 crore distribution deal and clarifying, “We request everyone not to believe the rumours being circulated about the distribution rights of TheParadise. Any official update will be communicated only through our official handles.”

With the production now in its final phase, Nani has taken a hands-on approach, reportedly present on set daily to ensure completion ahead of the planned September 25th theatrical release. The team is working to avoid last-minute rushes and allow ample time for post-production, aiming to meet both theatrical and digital commitments. Meanwhile, fans have been vocal on social media, urging Nani to return to his earlier rhythm of multiple releases per year. While he has greenlit future collaborations with directors Sujeeth (for Bloody Romeo, targeting summer 2027) and Venky Atluri, Nani’s immediate focus remains on delivering The Paradise as a defining moment in his pan-India journey.
