Nayanthara’s Hi Arrives in Telugu Theatres Tomorrow Amid Low Publicity

Nayanthara’s latest film Hi is set to hit Telugu theatres on August 28, just days after her recent appearance in Toxic. While Toxic, which starred Yash, received a mixed response from audiences, Nayanthara is moving quickly to her next release. Hi, originally made in Tamil, will have a simultaneous Telugu release, a move that has caught many by surprise due to the lack of any promotional activity in the Telugu states.

Hi pairs Nayanthara with Kavin in a romantic comedy directed by Vishnu Edavan. The supporting cast includes Bhagyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, and Sathyan. The film is produced by Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara, and SS Lalit Kumar. Despite the notable names attached, the Telugu version has not seen the kind of marketing push usually expected for a star-driven project, resulting in limited awareness among Telugu audiences.

In Tamil, Hi has managed to generate only average buzz, with the romantic comedy angle being the primary draw. The lack of Telugu promotions stands in contrast to the usual strategies for major releases, especially for a film featuring a star like Nayanthara. According to reports, the decision to release Hi in Telugu was not widely publicized, leaving many in the industry and among fans unaware of its arrival.

Earlier coverage noted that Nayanthara and Kavin’s Hi had secured its post-theatrical streaming rights with ZEE5, indicating a digital release will follow the theatrical run.
