Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Vivek Athreya’s much-anticipated collaboration, which was set to be backed by Mythri Movie Makers, has been officially shelved. The project, which insiders had pegged as a two-part big-budget venture, was expected to commence filming after Dasara but will no longer be moving forward for reasons that have not been disclosed.

In recent times, Balakrishna has maintained a strong presence in Tollywood, consistently delivering hits and staying at the forefront of industry discussions. Vivek Athreya, known for his unique storytelling style, was gearing up to team with the star, raising expectations among both fans and industry watchers.

According to industry sources, with the shelving of the NBK project, Vivek Athreya has wasted no time and has already pitched a new script to Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja. Reports indicate that Ravi Teja has given his approval, and Mythri Movie Makers will remain as producers. The official announcement for this new collaboration is expected soon, and filming will commence after Ravi Teja wraps up his current commitment to Shiva Nirvana’s "Irumudi."

Meanwhile, Balakrishna is set to join forces with director Koratala Siva once he completes his work on NBK111, keeping fans eager for future updates on his next cinematic outing.
