Nelson Dilipkumar, who recently helmed the blockbuster Jailer 2 starring Rajinikanth, is now at a pivotal point in his career as discussions intensify about his next directorial venture. After a string of high-profile Tamil films including Doctor and Beast, Nelson's collaboration with Rajinikanth in Jailer and its sequel has further cemented his reputation in Kollywood. Jailer 2 continues to perform well at the box office, and the production team has already announced Jailer 3, though filming is set to begin only after two years.
Amidst this success, attention has turned to Nelson's future projects. He previously announced plans for a major multi-starrer featuring both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, a combination that generated significant buzz in Tamil media. However, recent reports suggest the project may have been shelved, with no fresh updates provided by the team.
Nelson also has a commitment in Telugu cinema, with a film slated to star NTR and produced by Sithara Entertainments. The status of this project remains uncertain, as it is unclear whether Nelson will proceed with the multi-starrer or wait for NTR's availability. According to industry sources, more clarity on Nelson's next directorial step is expected next month.
For now, Nelson Dilipkumar is enjoying the ongoing success of Jailer 2, while fans and industry watchers await official word on which of his high-profile projects will move forward first.
