Nikhil Siddhartha, who earned national acclaim for his role in the Karthikeya franchise, has confirmed that work on Karthikeya 3 is underway. The actor, fresh from the success of Karthikeya 2—which secured a National Award—shared that the team is committed to delivering a film that surpasses its predecessors in both scale and quality.
Addressing the expectations surrounding the third instalment, Nikhil stated, “And after Karthikeya, I think there are a lot of expectations on me and my performance also, because the film got a National Award. So we are planning to come bigger and better in every way. Considering what 1 and 2 did, we do not want to compromise on anything when it comes to the third part.” His comments reflect the pressure to maintain the franchise’s reputation while pushing creative boundaries.
Currently, Karthikeya 3 remains in its early development phase. Nikhil revealed that the team is focused on finalising the script and scouting locations. He added, “Currently, the film is still in its initial stage of finalising the scripting, locations and stuff. I’m currently busy with Swayambhu too; I have already taken a 2 years long gap for it. So anything will happen after this.”
Meanwhile, Nikhil is awaiting the release of Swayambhu, a project directed by Bharat Krishnamachari and featuring Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh. The actor has dedicated nearly two years to this film, which is mounted on a grand scale. The anticipation for both Swayambhu and Karthikeya 3 underlines Nikhil’s current standing as a leading figure in Telugu cinema.
