Nikhil Siddhartha has opened up about the scale of visual effects work powering his upcoming period action drama, Swayambhu. Known for taking on ambitious projects, Nikhil revealed that the film's post-production phase has been dominated by an intense focus on graphics and VFX, with nearly 2,700 shots being crafted to bring the story to life.

Principal photography for Swayambhu wrapped up in December 2025, but the months since have been dedicated to perfecting the film's visuals. "We completed principal photography in December 2025, but for the last five to six months it has been all about graphics and visual effects. We’re putting enormous effort into the visual effects because audiences today notice every detail. They are quick to point out flaws, so we’re striving to match international standards," Nikhil explained.

The film, directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, is being mounted on a grand scale, with Nikhil taking on a warrior role that promises to showcase both action and spectacle. Swayambhu reportedly underwent a demanding 175-day shoot, underscoring the production's commitment to authenticity and scale. Earlier this year, it was reported that the film's post-production had faced delays, primarily due to the complexity of its CGI work.

With Swayambhu now in the final stages of post-production, the team is expected to announce its release date soon. The extensive VFX process reflects the makers' aim to deliver a cinematic experience that meets the expectations of today's discerning Telugu audience.
