Jr NTR has been advised to take a two-month break from work after sustaining a shoulder injury, impacting the ongoing production of his upcoming film Dragon. The actor, known for his recent string of successful performances, is currently recuperating at his residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. As per medical advice, he is undergoing regular physiotherapy and has been instructed to avoid all professional commitments until he makes a full recovery.
Director Prashanth Neel has temporarily halted the shoot of Dragon in light of NTR's condition. The production team, which includes Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, has also cancelled a planned schedule in Sri Lanka. This segment was set to feature a romantic song sequence with NTR and actress Rukmini Vasanth. The makers are reportedly eyeing a resumption of filming in late September or October, depending on the actor's health progress.
In Dragon, NTR takes on the role of Luger, an assassin embroiled in a narrative centered around opium trafficking and drug wars. Despite the unexpected pause, sources indicate that the film's release timeline remains unchanged, with a theatrical debut slated for June 2027. The brief production break is not expected to affect the film's overall schedule, and fans can look forward to updates as NTR continues his recovery.
