NTR’s much-awaited pan-India action saga Dragon, helmed by blockbuster director Prashanth Neel, is firmly in the spotlight as production hurdles and casting shake-ups spark fervent discussion. After a resounding success with his previous projects, NTR has devoted considerable energy to Dragon, with fans eagerly awaiting every update.
Despite the high expectations, the film has been in production since February 2025 without unveiling any major teasers or first looks, leading to growing impatience among fans. The makers have clarified that only a title poster and NTR’s look will be revealed for his birthday, choosing to hold back video content for the right moment. As per reports, "NTR is not in a hurry as he feels that the video content should be released at the right time." The film, jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, has also seen significant behind-the-scenes changes. Tovino Thomas, who reportedly shot for a lengthy schedule, is said to have exited the project, with Shahid Kapoor’s name now being discussed as a potential replacement.
Industry buzz points to extensive reshoots and a rumoured cost impact of nearly ₹25 crore, fueling speculation about creative and logistical challenges. The lack of regular promotional material apart from repeated gym-look images of NTR has affected the film’s digital momentum, with some fans expressing disappointment online.
All eyes are now on the makers to deliver a game-changing update after shoot completion, as the official release date and first video glimpse are set to arrive together. Dragon’s next move will be crucial in reigniting excitement among Tollywood and pan-India audiences.
