Pawan Kalyan Postpones OG 2 to 2027

Pawan Kalyan has officially postponed the highly awaited sequel to OG, pushing its production and release to 2027. The decision comes as the star recovers from a recent surgery and manages a packed schedule of political commitments, requiring him to step back from film shoots for the next several months.

Director Sujeeth, who helmed the original OG, has already completed the script for the sequel. However, all planned announcements regarding OG 2 have been put on hold. According to updates, the film's shoot is now expected to commence after the summer of next year. Sujeeth will first finish work on Nani’s 'Bloody Romeo', which is slated for a summer release in 2027, before turning his attention fully to OG 2. Pre-production for the sequel is set to begin early next year, once Sujeeth wraps up his current commitments.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan's other project with director Surendar Reddy has also hit a pause. The star was reportedly not satisfied with the initial script, prompting Surendar Reddy to rework the story as per Kalyan’s suggestions. This film will only move forward after OG 2 is completed.

Fans of Pawan Kalyan and OG will need to wait longer for the sequel, as the actor prioritizes his health and political responsibilities before returning to the sets.
