Pawan Kalyan, who recently reached audiences with his mass action entertainer Ustaad Bhagat Singh, has officially put a hold on taking up new film projects. Despite the buzz following his latest release, his production house Pawan Kalyan Creative Works has clarified that the actor has not signed any new commitments and will be stepping back from films for the time being.
This update comes amid widespread rumors that Pawan might be teaming up with directors like Surender Reddy, Harish Shankar, and Deva Katta for various projects, including a political entertainer and the highly anticipated sequel OG 2 with director Sujeeth. However, the official statement clearly states, “Speculations about ongoing projects are not accurate. At present, there are no immediate plans to commence new films.” Fans had also been hopeful about his project with Surender Reddy, but it appears that film is either delayed or shelved for now.
The statement further reassured that any updates regarding OG 2 will be personally shared by Pawan Kalyan at the appropriate time, keeping the excitement alive among his fanbase. The actor is currently focusing more on his political commitments, which seems to be his priority after the recent mixed reception to Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
With the underwhelming performance of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Pawan Kalyan should be more cautious with his story and director choices his fans deserve films that match the hype, and with limited screen time ahead due to political commitments, every project he picks needs to count.
