Mega Power Star Ram Charan is all set to revive Tollywood with his upcoming rural action drama Peddi, which has become the talk of the industry amid a challenging phase for Telugu cinema. After a lacklustre box office summer, the arrival of Peddi brings a wave of optimism, with fans and trade circles eagerly counting on the film to deliver much-needed relief.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who is known for his knack for blending emotion and spectacle, Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and presents a unique 1980s world meticulously crafted by cinematographer Rathnavelu and art director Avinash. With Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady and Shiva Rajkumar and Divyenndu in key roles, the film’s scale and star power are fueling sky-high expectations.
The buzz reached fever pitch after the trailer was unveiled for the media, drawing rapturous applause for its "perfect blend of elevations, emotions, and whistle-worthy moments," as reported by the team. Chiranjeevi himself praised the trailer, singling out the dialogue, “Meerandaru Nenu Aadanani Anukuntunnaru, Nenu Poradaanu Sir,” and appreciating Ram Charan's transformation and AR Rahman's compelling soundtrack.
With the official trailer launching on May 18 and the global release set for June 4, Peddi is poised to bring audiences back to theatres and potentially change the fortunes of Telugu cinema. All eyes are now on Ram Charan and team as Tollywood awaits its much-needed blockbuster moment.
