Ram Charan’s much-awaited rural sports drama Peddi is setting the stage for a pan-Indian release on June 4, 2026, but fans in Telangana are still in suspense over ticket bookings. The film, helmed by director Buchi Babu Sana, has already sparked massive excitement, with advance sales in Andhra Pradesh launching today at 2:07 PM.

Produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and featuring an ensemble cast that includes Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu Sharma, and Boman Irani, Peddi has been drawing attention not only for its star power but also for its soundtrack by AR Rahman. In the Nizam region, Mythri Movie Distributors have snapped up the theatrical rights for a substantial sum, but the sale of advance tickets is on hold. The delay is due to ongoing discussions about a potential ticket price hike and the approval for a special premiere show on June 3rd night.

Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru has emphasised that "there would be a difference in the theatrical deals for the film if the ticket hike is not granted," as per reports. While the Andhra Pradesh government has greenlit a ticket hike and one special premiere, the Telangana government’s decision is still pending. Social media is abuzz with anticipation, as Telangana fans eagerly await clarity on the ticketing front.

With the countdown to Peddi’s grand release underway, all eyes are on the Telangana government for a morning update on ticket prices and premiere show permissions. Fans can expect further announcements soon, as the team works to resolve the final hurdles before the big day.
