Akhil Akkineni's recent film Lenin has marked a significant comeback for the actor, drawing attention for both its box office performance and behind-the-scenes stories. Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu and featuring Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, the film has been jointly produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and Naga Vamsi.
In a recent interview, music director Thaman shared that the team initially planned to include an item song in Lenin. He disclosed that prominent actresses like Pooja Hegde, Rashmika Mandanna, Kayadu Lohar, and Preity Mukhundhan were all considered for this special number. However, the idea was ultimately dropped before filming began. Thaman explained that the song, which circulated in internal WhatsApp groups, left him frustrated enough to exit those chats. The creative team decided to scrap the sequence, feeling it was not essential to the story and might attract unnecessary criticism.
This revelation has sparked curiosity among fans, who are now discussing what the film might have looked like with one of these leading actresses performing the song. Despite the dropped sequence, Lenin has resonated with audiences and is now set for its digital premiere.
