Prabhas's Fauzi First-Look Poster: Designers Clarify AI Usage

Prabhas, currently filming the period action drama Fauzi under Hanu Raghavapudi's direction, recently saw his first-look poster spark debate online. The poster, which showcased Prabhas in a 1940s setting, drew attention from some netizens who alleged that artificial intelligence (AI) was used to generate the image.

Addressing the criticism, poster designers Anil and Bhanu clarified in an interview that AI was indeed involved, but only for background adjustments. "We are not saying we didn’t use AI for the poster. However, it was used only to remove disturbances. How can we use AI for the main image? We cannot make the face in AI, as the emotion won’t be conveyed. Some bodies in the shot were not necessary for the poster, and hence we removed them using AI, as they felt disturbing," the duo explained.

Fauzi, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is set during the British era and delves into human emotions against a backdrop of socio-political unrest. The film features Imanvi as the female lead, with Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Jayapradha, and Chaitra J. Achar in significant roles. Music for the project is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar.

The first-look poster has generated considerable discussion on social media, with some fans expressing curiosity about the film's visual approach. The creative team's transparency about their process has added another layer of interest as the project continues production.
