Prabhas’ Fauzi Officially Postponed: No December 2026 Release

Prabhas’ upcoming film Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, has officially been postponed and will not hit theatres on its previously scheduled date of December 3, 2026. The announcement was made by Mythri Movie Makers’ Ravi Shankar during the pre-release event for Nani’s The Paradise, putting weeks of industry speculation to rest.

The postponement comes after several other major Telugu films announced releases for the same period, fueling talk that Fauzi would not be able to keep its original date. Ravi Shankar did not specify a new release date but assured Prabhas fans that the film would be worth the wait. He stated that "the movie will be special and will be cherished for a long time," and highlighted that Prabhas will sport his best look since the Baahubali franchise.

Fauzi features Imanvi as the female lead, with seasoned actors Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada, Mithun Chakraborty, and Chaitra J. Achar in key roles. The film’s music is being composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, and the project is being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, a production house known for backing major Telugu hits.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Fauzi was still in the shooting phase, raising questions about whether the team could meet the December deadline. The confirmation of the postponement now gives the makers more time to complete the film without rushing the production process.

While fans had been eagerly awaiting a year-end release, the latest update signals a longer wait for Prabhas’ next big-screen appearance. No new release window has been announced yet.
