Prabhas, who delivered a major hit with Kalki 2898 AD in 2024, is back in the spotlight as the sequel, Kalki 2, moves forward with production. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, has already completed an initial shooting schedule and is reportedly about 30% done.
The latest industry chatter points to a possible casting coup: Bollywood legend Naseeruddin Shah is rumoured to be joining the project in a significant role. If confirmed, this would mark Shah’s first appearance in a Telugu film during his five-decade acting career. The actor recently earned acclaim for his performance in the Hindi drama Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali, further raising anticipation around his potential involvement in Kalki 2.
