Pan-India superstar Prabhas's much-awaited film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Vanga, is already making waves long before its release by setting a new benchmark for digital rights deals. The movie’s digital streaming rights have reportedly been snapped up by OTT giant Netflix for a staggering ₹250 crore, a record sum that signals massive anticipation around this action-packed entertainer.
Prabhas, who is currently riding high with multiple big-ticket projects like Fauzi, sequels to Kalki 2898AD and Salaar, reunites with bold filmmaker Sandeep Vanga. Vanga’s previous outings—Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal have established him as a director who doesn’t shy away from intense storytelling, raising the bar of expectations for their collaboration.
In Spirit, Prabhas steps into the role of a ruthless police officer, a character that sources say will be portrayed in an uncompromising, intense style. Adding to the excitement, it is reported that Mythri Movie Makers have secured the theatrical rights for Andhra and the Nizam region for a hefty price, underlining the film’s red-hot demand in the Telugu states. The ensemble also features Triptii Dimri as the female lead, with music composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.
Backed by T Series and Bhadrakali Productions, Spirit is slated to hit the big screens in March 2027. With such massive deals locked in and fan buzz growing by the day, audiences are eagerly awaiting official updates and the first glimpses from this ambitious project.
