Prabhas Unveils Baahubali: The Eternal War at Annecy Festival
Prabhas has set the stage abuzz by announcing a major milestone for the much-awaited "Baahubali: The Eternal War" at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026. This ambitious two-part 3D animated saga, slated for release in 2027, is already creating a stir among fans who have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the legendary franchise.
Directed by Ishan Shukla and produced by Arka Media Works, "Baahubali: The Eternal War" takes the story forward after the fall of Amarendra Baahubali, plunging viewers into a cosmic conflict across 14 mystical realms. With a grand budget of ₹120 crore, the film promises to blend Indian mythology with high fantasy, aiming to set a new benchmark for animated cinema from India. Prabhas and Ramya Krishna return to lend their voices to their iconic roles, while music maestro MM Keeravaani, an Oscar winner, provides the score.
Fans erupted with excitement on social media after Prabhas shared, “The team is building something truly special. Can’t wait for the world to see it.” The film’s inclusion at Annecy, often called the Cannes of animation, marks a proud moment for Indian storytelling, drawing the attention of global critics to the franchise’s visual grandeur.
With Netflix also gearing up to launch "Baahubali: The Torchbearer" docu-series in June 2026, anticipation for "The Eternal War" is at an all-time high. Fans can look forward to more updates as the release approaches.
