Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju to Reunite for Dude 2 Sequel

Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, who charmed audiences in the blockbuster 'Dude', are set to return for a sequel as work on 'Dude 2' officially begins.

The original film, directed by Keerthiswaran in his debut, became a surprise box office sensation despite its mixed critical reception, raking in over ₹100 crores. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the movie’s fresh pairing and lively storytelling made it a talking point among moviegoers and on social media.

As per the latest revelations, Keerthiswaran has already pitched a new idea to lead actor Pradeep Ranganathan. The director shared in a recent interview that he is “currently working on the script,” and added, “if things work out, Dude 2 will go on the floors.” He assured fans that, should it happen, the sequel would serve as a true continuation of the first film’s story and spirit.
