Preethi Pagadala’s 418: One Month After Delay, Mythri Movie Makers Remain Silent

Preethi Pagadala’s horror thriller 418, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, continues to be shrouded in uncertainty as fans await news on its release. The film, directed by Kirtan Nadagouda and backed by Prashanth Neel, was initially scheduled to premiere on July 31, 2026. However, just days before the planned release, the production house announced a postponement, promising to reveal a new date soon.

This marks a notable shift for Mythri Movie Makers, who recently celebrated the blockbuster success of Irumudi. The studio’s decision to venture into the horror genre with 418, departing from their usual fare, had generated considerable anticipation among Telugu audiences. Preethi Pagadala, leading the cast, was set to headline the banner’s first foray into straight horror, rather than the more common horror-comedy blend.

Nearly a month has passed since the original release window, yet there has been no official update from the makers regarding when 418 will finally reach theatres. The lack of communication has left moviegoers and social media followers speculating about the reasons for the delay and the eventual fate of the film. According to the studio’s previous statement at the end of July, a new date would be announced, but as of now, the film remains in limbo.

While 418’s release is stalled, Mythri Movie Makers is moving ahead with the Telugu-dubbed release of the Malayalam hit Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, scheduled for September 4. This rom-com, directed by Girish AD and starring Mamitha Baiju and Nivin Pauly, is expected to keep the banner in the spotlight even as questions linger about 418’s future.
