Preity Mukhundhan, riding high on the blockbuster success of Blast, was almost part of the much-anticipated Allu Arjun starrer Raaka. The news surfaced when director Atlee, who is helming Raaka, made a candid revelation during the promotional event of Preity's upcoming romantic comedy Idaiyam Murali (Hrudayam Murali).
Atlee, serving as the chief guest at the event, lauded Preity’s exceptional performance and commitment, stating that he personally admires her dedication to her craft. He disclosed, "I actually approached her for an important role in Raaka, but due to her packed filming schedule for Idaiyam Murali, she couldn’t accommodate the required dates." As a result, Preity had to regretfully decline the offer, and the pivotal role was subsequently handed to Femina George. Details about the character remain tightly guarded by the makers.
Currently, Preity is focusing her energies on Idaiyam Murali, which features Atharva, Thaman, and Fahadh Faasil in prominent roles. The film is generating considerable excitement among fans, who are eager to see her in a new avatar. Social media has been abuzz with discussions about what could have been had she joined Raaka, reflecting her growing popularity.
With Idaiyam Murali set for release soon, all eyes are on Preity’s next moves and whether another big-ticket Telugu project awaits her in the near future.
