Prithviraj Sukumaran Confirms Plans for Lucifer 3 with Mohanlal

Prithviraj Sukumaran has sent waves of excitement through Malayalam cinema circles by confirming his commitment to "Lucifer 3," the next chapter in the hit political thriller franchise headlined by Mohanlal. The director-actor, who made his directorial debut with the original "Lucifer," has been at the center of fan discussions ever since the blockbuster success of its sequel, "L2: Empuraan."

Both films, produced by Antony Perumbavoor's Aashirvad Cinemas, featured an ensemble cast including Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Vivek Oberoi, and Indrajith Sukumaran, alongside Prithviraj and Mohanlal. While "L2: Empuraan" stirred debate due to its bold political themes, it also drew massive box office numbers and sustained audience curiosity about a potential third installment.

Addressing ongoing speculation, Prithviraj stated, “While some people may not have appreciated the film, it does not change my commitment to the work. Even when I travel, I meet people eager to learn about the third instalment. The challenge, of course, is when I can pull it off.” He further emphasized that Mohanlal's schedule is crucial, explaining, "If a political narrative is crucial to the story and serves its purpose, I certainly have no issue with that.”

With fan anticipation running high and the director reaffirming his plans, all eyes are now on Mohanlal’s availability and the creative direction "Lucifer 3" will take.
