Prithviraj Sukumaran Praises Rajamouli’s Actor-Director Skills on Varanasi Sets

Prithviraj Sukumaran, currently filming for the ambitious project Varanasi, has showered praise on director SS Rajamouli, calling him the finest actor-director he has collaborated with. This acknowledgment comes as the team works on one of the most eagerly awaited Indian films, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Having earned widespread acclaim for his performances across Malayalam cinema, Prithviraj is now expanding his horizons by working with Rajamouli, whose storytelling brilliance has captivated audiences globally. In a recent interaction, Prithviraj remarked that Rajamouli stands out among directors for his ability to perform every scene with emotional clarity and precision, saying, "Rajamouli is probably the best actor among all the directors I have worked with, apart from Mohanlal."

He further elaborated that while many directors demonstrate scenes, Rajamouli takes it a step beyond, instantly switching between characters and emotions to communicate his vision. Importantly, he noted that Rajamouli never expects actors to mimic him but rather uses his performance as a guide, encouraging unique interpretations. "This clarity gives actors immense confidence on set," Prithviraj shared.
