Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated film Dharman, produced by Kamal Haasan, found itself at the center of social media chatter today as rumors linked it to the English series The Good Doctor. The speculation caused a stir among fans, eager for updates on the superstar’s next move.
Rajinikanth, who recently impressed audiences with his diverse roles, is set to play a doctor in Dharman. This detail fueled the unfounded rumors, but director Aswath Marimuthu stepped in to set the record straight. Addressing the speculation on his X account, the director firmly stated that Dharman is an entirely original subject, saying there is no inspiration or adaptation involved. "Rajinikanth’s film is neither inspired by nor based on any series and is an entirely original subject," the director emphasized on social media.
The film, which just began shooting, features Simran and Raashii Khanna in key roles, with Anirudh Ravichander handling the musical score. Backed by Kamal Haasan’s production house, the project has generated considerable excitement, despite the recent rumor mill. The team’s swift clarification was welcomed by fans, who expressed relief online.
Dharman is scheduled for a grand theatrical release in 2027. With filming underway, anticipation is high to see how Rajinikanth brings this unique story to life.
