Rajinikanth and Nelson Eye Jailer 3 as Jailer 2 Set for Dasara Release

Rajinikanth's collaboration with director Nelson for the Jailer franchise continues to generate excitement, as plans for a third installment are already being discussed. After the original Jailer became a major success and revitalized Rajinikanth's career, anticipation is high for Jailer 2, which is scheduled to hit theatres on October 15th, coinciding with the Dasara festival.

Sun Pictures, known for backing large-scale projects, has invested heavily in Jailer 2. Both Rajinikanth and Nelson have received significant remuneration for their involvement. The Telugu theatrical rights have been acquired by Naga Vamsi for a premium price, reflecting the strong demand for the film in the Telugu-speaking regions.

According to reports, Nelson has developed an idea for Jailer 3, and a hint about the third part will be revealed during the climax of Jailer 2. This move is expected to keep audiences engaged and fuel further speculation about the franchise's future. However, the realization of Jailer 3 depends on the performance of the second installment, as well as the availability of both Rajinikanth and Nelson, who have other professional commitments.

The production house is reportedly open to bankrolling Jailer 3 on a grand scale if Jailer 2 meets expectations and recovers its substantial investment. If all factors align, the third film could be slated for release in 2028. For now, fans are eagerly awaiting the Dasara release of Jailer 2 and the potential teaser for what could be another major chapter in the franchise.
