Rajinikanth's latest venture, 'Dharman', made headlines at its grand launch as the Superstar not only revealed the film’s official title but also offered rare insights into a shelved project with director Cibi Chakravarthy. During the event, Rajinikanth shared that he was once approached with an intriguing story about a nuclear scientist and nuclear weapons, which would have seen him filming in Afghanistan and Russia. However, he explained that the sensitive nature and large-scale demands of the project led to it being put on hold for now.

The event also saw director Ashwath Marimuthu—best known for his work on 'Dragon'—clarifying rumours about 'Dharman'. Contrary to speculation, Marimuthu confirmed that Rajinikanth’s role is not based on Tamil Nadu’s famed “Rs. 5 Doctor”. Instead, fans can expect to see the actor as a charismatic, stylish doctor in a family-oriented thriller packed with his trademark mass appeal. "I love Rajini sir’s Padayappa and I love Kamal sir’s Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu," Marimuthu commented, promising a blend of entertainment and drama.

Produced by Kamal Haasan under Raj Kamal Film International alongside Turmeric Media, the film features Raashi Khanna and Simran in pivotal roles, while Anirudh Ravichander handles the music. Social media is abuzz with excitement, especially after Rajinikanth’s revelations and the official pooja ceremony. With regular shooting commencing immediately, anticipation is high for more updates as 'Dharman' moves swiftly into production.
