Ram Charan’s much-anticipated rural action drama Peddi is set to make a grand entry into cinemas, with Andhra Pradesh granting permission for premiere shows starting at 8 PM on June 3. The film, helmed by Uppena director Buchi Babu Sana, has been riding high on expectations, especially after Ram Charan’s recent strong performances and the director’s growing reputation for impactful storytelling.
Adding to the excitement, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced a ticket price hike for Peddi’s premiere and initial run. Premiere tickets are priced at ₹600 (including GST), while a special hike of ₹100 for single screens and ₹125 for multiplexes will apply for the first week. Cinemas will be allowed to run five shows daily, giving fans ample opportunity to catch the action early. Social media is abuzz, with fans celebrating the early shows and the festive atmosphere building around the film’s release.
Peddi brings together a star-studded cast featuring Janhvi Kapoor opposite Ram Charan, along with Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, Boman Irani, and Tinnu Anand. The music, composed by AR Rahman, is already contributing to the film’s pre-release buzz. The prestigious project is bankrolled by Vriddhi Cinemas and Venkata Satish Kilaru on a record budget, further underlining its scale.
While Andhra Pradesh fans gear up for the big night, audiences in Telangana are still waiting for clarity on premiere permissions. As the June 4 worldwide release draws near, all eyes are on Peddi’s box office opening and Telangana’s forthcoming government decision.
