Ram Charan’s much-anticipated film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is set for a grand theatrical debut on June 4, 2026, and excitement is building with every new reveal. Veteran actor Boman Irani recently offered fans a glimpse into the film’s unique opening. In a conversation with CNN-News18, Irani shared that the story starts with India basking in the pride of winning two Olympic gold medals. However, Tinnu Anand’s character, a senior Sports Authority of India official, expresses disappointment at the country's overall sporting achievements and challenges Irani’s character to explain the lackluster results. "This confrontation leads my character to search for answers, which eventually uncovers the legendary story of Peddi," Boman Irani revealed.
The narrative then shifts into a flashback that introduces Ram Charan’s Peddi, with the backdrop of Uttarandhra, and explores themes of perseverance and national pride. The ensemble cast also includes Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, with pivotal roles by Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. The film is produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and features an evocative score by A.R. Rahman.
With social media buzzing over the film’s ambitious scale and emotional depth, Peddi is shaping up as one of the year’s most awaited pan-Indian releases. As the release date approaches, fans are eager to discover how Peddi’s extraordinary journey will unfold on the big screen.
