Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is creating waves with his upcoming sports drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film’s trailer has shattered records, becoming the most viewed Telugu trailer in 24 hours and igniting excitement across social media ahead of its June 4 release.

Buchi Babu, who previously impressed audiences with his directorial debut, revealed that industry stalwart Sukumar motivated him to develop Peddi, envisioning Ram Charan in the lead from the outset. The director described Peddi as a character that deserves a place in textbooks, saying, "For youngsters, who tend to give up after one failure and few hardships, Peddi will remain a big inspiration."

During promotions, Ram Charan reflected on his earlier attempt at a sports film with Merupu, which was shelved after 10 days due to technological constraints in filming football sequences. Charan admitted that fulfilling his sports film dream with Peddi was special, noting the physical and emotional challenges he overcame for the role. He humorously mentioned needing a checkup after intense wrestling scenes, attributing the film's energy to the team’s passion and AR Rahman’s music.

Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu, Peddi is set for a grand release on June 4. Fans can look forward to seeing Ram Charan’s transformative performance and the much-talked-about story hit the big screens soon.
