Ram Charan Begins Intense Weight Loss for Sukumar's RC17

Ram Charan has officially started his physical transformation for his upcoming film with director Sukumar, tentatively titled RC17. The actor, known for his dedication to roles, is now following a strict diet and workout plan to lose weight as required for this new character. Sukumar, who has completed the script and is deep into pre-production, reportedly wants Charan to shed around eight kilograms for the role. This marks a significant shift from the actor's previous look in the sports drama 'Peddi', where he maintained multiple physiques for different phases of the character.

Charan's preparation for RC17 comes after a challenging period. In July, he underwent surgery on his right wrist at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, following an injury sustained during the shoot of 'Peddi'. Doctors advised him to focus on rehabilitation and rest before resuming any professional commitments. Now, with his recovery complete, Charan has shifted his focus entirely to Sukumar's project.

The upcoming film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. Reports indicate that Charan will also sport long hair for this role, adding to the anticipation around his new look. The makers are planning to begin shooting in December, giving Charan a few more months to achieve the desired transformation. Industry sources note that Charan's commitment to physical changes for his roles has become a hallmark of his career, especially after his demanding work for 'Peddi'.
