Ram Charan’s much-celebrated sports drama Peddi is just days away from its highly anticipated digital premiere on Netflix, set for July 9. After making waves at the box office and emerging as one of the year’s top-grossing Telugu films, the film’s OTT release has become the talk of the town.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, whose previous ventures have set a strong tone in contemporary Telugu cinema, Peddi features Janhvi Kapoor in a prominent role, alongside a supporting cast including Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, the film scored big in theatres but was met with mixed critical responses, sparking curiosity about how it will be received by viewers at home.

Adding to the excitement, celebrated composer A R Rahman recently assured fans that the film’s original soundtrack would be released soon, though an official date is still awaited. The film’s background score has been widely praised for elevating key moments, leaving social media abuzz with anticipation for the full OST. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor’s performance, previously debated during the theatrical run, is expected to undergo renewed scrutiny as audiences revisit her chemistry with Ram Charan on the streaming platform.

With Peddi set to stream in four Indian languages, viewers and fans are keenly waiting for both the digital release and Rahman’s promised soundtrack. All eyes now turn to Netflix and the upcoming OST update.
