Ram Pothineni Directs and Stars in RAPO23, Completes 24-Hour Shoot

Ram Pothineni, known for his energetic performances in Telugu cinema, is stepping into new territory with his 23rd film, tentatively titled RAPO23. This project marks his directorial debut, where he is not only helming the film but also playing the lead and crafting the story himself. The film is being produced by his brother, Krishna Pothineni, under the Rapo Cinematics banner.

RAPO23 is described by the makers as a neo-noir psychological action thriller, promising a fresh narrative style for Telugu audiences. The latest update from the production is that Ram Pothineni recently completed an intense 24-hour shooting stretch during the film's Pondicherry schedule. Balancing the responsibilities of acting and directing, he managed to oversee a demanding shoot that spanned an entire day. The team had been filming for nine days on a large-scale set before heavy rains forced them to pause the schedule. According to reports, the crew plans to return to Pondicherry soon to finish the remaining portions.

The technical team for RAPO23 features Sam CS as the music composer and Thirunavukarasu (Thiru) handling cinematography. Renowned action choreographer Peter Hein is in charge of the stunts, while A.S. Prakash is managing production design. With Ram Pothineni taking on multiple creative roles, anticipation around the film has grown, especially among his fans and industry watchers. The film's unique genre and original story have already sparked curiosity about what Ram will deliver in his directorial debut.
