The highly awaited mythological saga Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, has recently been enveloped in an unusual silence from its makers. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for his engaging storytelling, this project was announced with immense fanfare but has since seen no promotional activity, leaving audiences anxious about its scheduled Diwali 2026 release.
Following Tiwari’s successful ventures, expectations for Ramayana are sky-high. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Yash portraying Ravana. Additional notable actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Mohit Raina add weight to the production. Produced by Namit Malhotra with a staggering budget of ₹835 crores, the film also features a musical collaboration between maestros A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.
Despite this grandeur, no teasers, posters, or updates have emerged, a rarity for such a large-scale project. Fans who anticipated an update on Sri Rama Navami were left disappointed, sparking speculation about possible delays. Rumors about casting, including Faizal Malik’s involvement as Kumbhakarna, have surfaced, but the lack of official confirmation compounds the mystery.
As the first part of this two-part epic approaches its proposed release date, all eyes remain on the makers to break their silence. The coming months will be crucial for building momentum and assuring fans that Ramayana will meet its grand expectations.
