Ranbir Kapoor headlines the upcoming epic 'Ramayana', with Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, as the makers announce an ambitious slate of projects beyond the film itself. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, whose recent works have set high standards in Indian cinema, 'Ramayana' is produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, and is set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026.

The production team is not limiting the Ramayana experience to just the big screen. Plans are underway for AAA-grade video games, immersive VR and AR experiences, and even metaverse content. The team also revealed intentions to launch apparel and lifestyle merchandise, global theme park rides, and a Broadway-style musical. Spin-off projects are in development for comics, television, and animation, focusing on characters such as Hanuman, Surpanakha, Jatayu, Indrajit, and Angad.

At the Hyderabad pre-release event, a demonstration of DNEG’s proprietary ‘Brahma AI’ system was showcased, impressing attendees with its ability to create performances in multiple languages without traditional dubbing or subtitles. Producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari praised the cast and highlighted the film's technical achievements. Yash described 'Ramayana' as "a global celebration of Indian culture," according to reports.

The film, presented internationally by Sony Pictures, features a star-studded cast including Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Kajal Aggarwal, and Rakul Preet Singh. With its Diwali release, 'Ramayana' is positioned as a major cinematic event, generating significant buzz both in India and globally.
