Confusion arose after BookMyShow listed a December date

Makers plan an aggressive promotional campaign post-shoot

Film features Nakshatra and Priya Bhavani Shankar in key roles

Ravi Teja’s upcoming film "Irumudi" has been at the centre of speculation after reports surfaced suggesting a possible delay in its release. Known for his energetic mass roles, Ravi Teja takes on a more emotional character this time, with the film focusing on a father-daughter relationship set against a devotional backdrop.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana, "Irumudi" was officially scheduled for release on August 21, 2026. Confusion arose when BookMyShow listed the film with a December 2026 release date, sparking concerns among fans about a potential postponement. The lack of updates from the production team and the limited promotional activity—just one song released so far—fueled further speculation online.

However, the situation has now been clarified. According to the latest updates, the makers have reaffirmed their commitment to the original August release date. The film’s shoot is progressing as planned, with completion expected soon. Once filming wraps, the team intends to launch an aggressive promotional campaign to build anticipation ahead of the premiere.

"Irumudi" features Nakshatra as Ravi Teja’s daughter and Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. In addition to its Telugu release, a Tamil version is also in the works, broadening its reach across South Indian audiences.
