Ravi Teja Switches Gears After Irumudi Success, Shelves Hashit Goli Film

Ravi Teja, riding high on the blockbuster success of Irumudi, has made a significant change to his upcoming film plans. Irumudi not only brought him back into the spotlight but also delivered strong financial gains, with the actor reportedly earning close to ₹50 crores from the Nizam rights alone, in addition to his standard remuneration. This commercial triumph has given Ravi Teja the flexibility to reconsider his next steps.

Initially, Ravi Teja was set to collaborate with director Hashit Goli for a film produced by Dil Raju, with shooting scheduled to begin in September and a Sankranthi 2027 release already announced. However, this plan has now been put on hold. Instead, Ravi Teja will team up with director Vivek Athreya for a new project described as a big-budget horror drama. Laxman will produce this film, and pre-production activities are currently underway as the team finalizes the cast.

According to industry reports, Ravi Teja is taking a brief break in August before starting work on Vivek Athreya's film in September. The makers are eyeing a summer 2027 release for this project. The earlier planned film with Hashit Goli is shelved for now, though Dil Raju is reportedly considering a fresh collaboration with Ravi Teja in 2027.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Ravi Teja had completed filming for Irumudi and was preparing to start work with Hashit Goli. Now, with the massive success of Irumudi, the actor appears in no rush, carefully selecting his next move. For now, all eyes are on his upcoming horror drama with Vivek Athreya, set to begin shooting soon.
