Sai Dharam Tej is set to join the Sankranthi 2027 line-up with his upcoming film, Sambarala Yeti Gattu. The project, directed by Rohith KP and produced by K Niranjan Reddy under Primeshow Entertainment, is aiming for a grand release on January 12, 2027. This date holds significance for the production house, as their earlier film HanuMan, also released on January 12 in 2023, became a landmark success in Telugu cinema.
Sambarala Yeti Gattu is being crafted as a period action drama and will feature a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The cast includes Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jagapathi Babu, Sai Kumar, Meka Srikanth, and Ananya Nagalla alongside Sai Dharam Tej. The film is reportedly being made on a budget exceeding ₹120 crores, making it one of the most ambitious projects in Sai Dharam Tej’s career.
Initially, the makers considered a December 2026 release, but the plan shifted to coincide with the Sankranthi festival, a popular window for major Telugu releases. The shoot is now in its final stages, and the team is closing non-theatrical deals. According to reports, the official release date announcement will be made soon, after which theatrical business will be finalized.
