Sai Dharam Tej’s upcoming film Sambarala Yeti Gattu is set to arrive in cinemas on January 12, 2027, targeting the lucrative Sankranthi festival window. The actor, who has been steadily building his profile with diverse roles, headlines this ambitious PAN-India project directed by newcomer Rohith KP. Backed by producers K Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy under Primeshow Entertainment, the film is being mounted on a massive budget exceeding ₹100 crores.

The release timing has generated significant industry buzz, as Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Kaaka is also scheduled for the same festive period. This overlap led to speculation that Sambarala Yeti Gattu might shift its release. However, producer Chaitanya Reddy clarified their stance, stating, “We announced the date first, and later Chiranjeevi garu gave the announcement. Had they announced the date earlier, we would have reconsidered. Shooting is done, and dubbing is underway. VFX work is in good shape. We aren’t rushing things to cash in on the festival season. We thought of a Dussehra release, but due to VFX work, we locked the Sankranthi season.”

The film features Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead, with Jagapathi Babu, Sai Kumar, Srikanth, and Ananya Nagalla in key roles. Music is being composed by Ajaneesh Loknath. Earlier this year, the final shooting schedule was completed in Hyderabad, and post-production is now focused on dubbing and visual effects.

Industry watchers have noted that Sai Dharam Tej’s entry into the Sankranthi 2027 race with Sambarala Yeti Gattu adds to the excitement, especially given the high-profile clash with Kaaka. The production team remains confident in their chosen date, setting the stage for a major box office showdown during the festival season.
