Salman Khan Moves Court Against 'Kala Hiran: Battle for Legacy'

Bollywood icon Salman Khan has taken a decisive step by moving the Delhi High Court against the makers of the upcoming film 'Kala Hiran: Battle for Legacy'. The actor, whose latest ventures have kept him in the limelight, is now at the center of a legal showdown after the film’s poster sparked considerable attention last month.

The movie, described as a blend of courtroom drama and crime thriller, is said to draw heavy inspiration from Salman's infamous 1998 blackbuck poaching case and his ongoing conflict with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to Salman's legal plea, the film directly violates his personality rights, with the star highlighting the use of a lookalike actor and his trademark silver-and-turquoise bracelet to mirror his persona. "Releasing a sensationalized movie about the events right now isn’t just damaging to his reputation—it could actively prejudice the ongoing legal proceedings and mess with his right to a fair trial," his team claims.

Before moving to court, Salman’s lawyers had already issued a notice demanding the filmmakers halt production and promotion. The blackbuck case itself remains unresolved at the Rajasthan High Court, adding further sensitivity to the film’s subject.

The Delhi High Court is set to hear the matter soon. All eyes are now on the proceedings to see if 'Kala Hiran' will be stopped or proceed toward release.
