Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaaram Makes Blockbuster Debut
Samantha’s newest film, Maa Inti Bangaaram, directed by Nandini Reddy, stormed into the box office with a stunning opening weekend, surpassing the ₹50 crore gross milestone by Monday. This remarkable feat has not only delighted Samantha and her husband Raj Nidimoru but also silenced those who doubted the film’s commercial appeal.
Coming off a consistent run of strong performances, Samantha has once again demonstrated her star power. The film, backed by Nandini Reddy’s direction, arrived amidst industry skepticism about the potential of female-led projects. Raj Nidimoru candidly shared in an interview that some producers questioned the pre-release buzz, with one reportedly saying, "Female-led films don’t have buzz. They pick up once the word of mouth starts."
However, trade pundits were forced to rethink their assumptions after the film’s opening day numbers exceeded expectations. Raj added, "When the numbers opened on the very first day is when we realised... she can pull crowds massively." Interestingly, Raj revealed that Samantha, who typically takes time to acknowledge box office success, recognised early on that Maa Inti Bangaaram was resonating with audiences.
With its strong start and growing word-of-mouth, fans are eager to see how far this blockbuster journey will go, while Samantha looks set to continue her winning streak.
