Sara Arjun was the original choice for Srinivasa Mangapuram’s female lead

Director Ajay Bhupathi cited age and casting issues for the change

Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon, will debut in the film

Srinivasa Mangapuram releases theatrically on July 30

Sara Arjun, who made waves with her performance in the Bollywood hit Dhurandhar and later appeared in Gunasekhar’s Telugu film Euphoria, was initially considered for the female lead in the upcoming Telugu film Srinivasa Mangapuram. This project is generating buzz as it marks the acting debut of Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni, nephew of superstar Mahesh Babu.

Director Ajay Bhupathi, known for his keen casting choices, shared that Sara was the team’s first pick for the role. However, he explained, “Yes, we did consider her (Sara Arjun). I felt she was too young to play the role at that point in time. Dhurandhar hadn’t released by then. I think there were also some issues with the casting agency.” This insight sheds light on the behind-the-scenes decisions that shaped the film’s casting.

Ultimately, the role went to Rasha Thadani, daughter of Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, who is set to make her Telugu debut with Srinivasa Mangapuram. Ajay Bhupathi revealed that he was impressed by Rasha after watching her performances on YouTube, which convinced him of her suitability for the part. The film also features veteran actor Mohan Babu in a pivotal role, adding further anticipation among fans.

With its theatrical release scheduled for July 30, Srinivasa Mangapuram is poised to be a significant launchpad for both Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni and Rasha Thadani. All eyes are now on how this fresh pairing will be received by Telugu audiences and whether the film will live up to its pre-release excitement.
