Satya’s much-awaited film Jetlee is all set to hit theatres on May 1, following a successful completion of censor formalities and securing a U/A certificate from the board. This comedy-thriller, directed by Ritesh Rana celebrated for his unique touch in Mathu Vadalara has been creating a palpable buzz among audiences and trade watchers alike.
Director Ritesh Rana, while promoting the film, clarified that viewers should not expect the same brand of humor as his previous hit. "Before it was a thriller-comedy, now it has become a comedy-thriller. The story didn’t change. A few elements were created to match Satya’s style... Who wanted to kill the hero and why? This forms the crux of the film," the director said. The story kicks off with Satya’s character waking up injured in a washroom, setting the stage for a suspenseful ride.
Jetlee marks the Tollywood debut of Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha as the female lead, joined by a vibrant supporting cast including Vennela Kishore, Ajay, Viva Harsha, and Kabir Duhan Singh. The film is produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu under the Clap Entertainment banner, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers. Music is composed by Kaala Bhairava, with cinematography by Suresh Sargam.
With the recent trailer and promotions stirring excitement on social media, Jetlee’s quirky tone and intriguing premise have captured the attention of family audiences. Box office observers are keenly awaiting its performance, especially given the current lull in Tollywood releases.
All eyes are now on Jetlee’s grand release on May 1, as audiences look forward to seeing Satya’s comedic flair in a fresh avatar and how this comedy-thriller fares at the summer box office.
